Here's a pretty little project. I deconstructed an old necklace (how very Anthropologie of me!) that I found --where else??-- at the thrift shop. I cut a T-shirt into strips, rolled them into pretty red roses, and set the separate parts of the necklace into the roses. A piece of felt serves as a foundation and holds the whole thing together, along with some hot glue. Between the roses and the felt backing, the chains are just hot glued into place as well, and the necklace just slips over my head.
Every time I wear this, I get comments and compliments on it, and people are surprised when I thank them, then tell them I made it myself (I hope that doesn't mean that they're surprised I thanked them!! LOL!)
Really, this was an easy project, and I love it. Many times, when I'm wearing a pretty neutral palette, I like a pop of color. This certainly serves that purpose!
And it cost next to nothing. My kind of deal!
Love,
Really nice necklace. Congratulations :)
